Bryce Canyon National Park

                          Bryce Canyon Hoodoos-summer

Bryce Canyon seemed like a whole new world to us. The stunning orange hoodoos against the backdrop of snow-capped mountains and the vivid blue skies left me speechless. Witnessing hoodoos for the first time made me realize their sheer magnificence. They truly are breathtaking! I just kept saying wow just wow LOL

Bryce marked the fifth stop on our tour of the southwest national parks, following our exploration of Upper Antelope Canyon. The drive took approximately 2.5 hours. After swiftly dropping our stuff off at our hotel, we wasted no time and went directly to the park, as we only had one day to spare. Personally, I believe a single day is sufficient to experience Bryce Canyon. Compared to other parks, Bryce Canyon seemed less crowded, making it easy to find parking and move around.

Before entering the park, we made a pit stop to grab sandwiches and snacks for a picnic in nature. Our initial destination in the park was the Sunset Point to Sunrise Point hike, an easy straightforward 1.2-mile round trip. The trail runs along the rim of the renowned Bryce Canyon Amphitheater. I think my family almost left me behind because I couldn't stop admiring the breathtaking landscape. Prior to this visit, I had never encountered hoodoos, and I was completely captivated by their beauty. The stunning orange hoodoos set against the blue skies felt like a scene from a dream!

After our hike, we went to the picnic area near the Amphitheater, offering stunning views to enjoy during your meal. One of the perks of hiking in national parks is having the opportunity to relax and take in the breathtaking scenery.

After that, we made our way to visit the natural bridge, a top priority for me in Bryce Canyon. There are designated parking areas for the natural bridge, making it a convenient stop. This bridge was created by the flow of a stream and river eroding the rock over time. Witnessing how nature sculpted it to resemble a real bridge was truly awe-inspiring!

I hope we can return to Bryce Canyon someday to explore other areas, especially the guided horse or mule rides. Our day at this stunning national park was unforgettable, and my favorite part was the hoodoos that stretch beyond the horizon. Make sure and stop by the visitors center either on your way in or on your way out. typically we stop on our way in to get stamps, park maps, and use the restrooms.
